Want to learn (or learn more) about Human Design?

What is Human Design?

Human Design feels a bit hard to explain, so I’m going to share what it’s been for me—an affirmation of things I always felt to be true about myself, permission to step into truths that had been covered up by societal conditioning, and confirmation that I am, indeed, here to do things totally my way.

And actually, we are all here to do things our own way. For me, the beauty of Human Design is that it shows us what our own way can actually look like.

When you first start out with Human Design, it can feel so complicated. And it does have many layers! It took me a while to sort out where to begin, and I hope to save you some of that time and effort, true to my 3/5 profile (if you’re not sure what that means, it will make more sense to you later on!).

If you’re just starting out…

Here’s where you can begin.

Becca of Human Design with Becca has created a fantastic resource that explains Human Design and how to read your chart. I’d highly recommend starting there.

Then on this page, I share some resources I’ve gathered into Pinterest boards, as well as some ways we can discuss HD if you’re interested (please note that I don’t offer readings, but many others do!).

I’ll start by saying that everyone learns differently! I like to skip around and learn a bit about all the different angles of something, so that’s what I did with Human Design. I wanted to understand all the parts and how they flowed together.

If that sounds aligned for you, feel free to check out whatever you like on this page!

If that sounds overwhelming (and it could be—Human Design is vast), I’ve seen many people suggest starting with your Type, Authority, and Strategy. If you know these three things, you can start experimenting with your design to see what resonates.

Note: To use these resources, you’ll need to get a basic chart. You can try MyBodyGraph, Genetic Matrix, or MyHumanDesign.com. (If you don’t know your exact time, date, and location of birth, you can searching online for other methods.)

Once you have your chart in hand, you can explore the resources on these four Pinterest boards I created to start understanding Human Design, as well as your type, strategy, and authority!

If you’re wondering what to do with all you’re learning, or are looking for someone to discuss Human Design with…

✴︎

Reflect + Experiment

Human Design is all about experimentation. When you learn something new that feels aligned, you can reflect on if and how it feels true for you, and then try it out. For example, if you’ve learned you have emotional authority (like me!), try sleeping on a decision to see if you have more clarity in the morning.

✴︎

Connect with a Friend

I found Human Design through two friends, and it’s been so helpful to have them on this journey with me. We often reflect things we see in each other (“oh yes, that makes sense—remember the time you…?”) and talk about our discoveries (“oh my gosh, this is why I…!”).

✴︎

Discuss + Explore with Me

I absolutely love talking with people about their design and experiences. If you don’t have friends who are interested in Human Design (yet!), or if you want to chat things out with someone who’s been exploring HD a bit longer and who’s explored many different parts of HD, I’d love to chat with you!

Implementing Human Design into your life takes time and patience. And there’s a difference between knowing something and really living it. Be gentle with yourself and take your time!

If you’ve already learned the basics, or simply want to jump around like me…

More on your basic chart

There’s a lot of information on that chart beyond strategy, type, and authority! Here are some Pinterest boards where I’ve gathered resources around more of what you’ll see on your chart.

On a deeper chart

To get a more in-depth chart, you can (as of the time of writing this) get a one-day pass on Genetic Matrix, or you can sign up for an ongoing membership if that’s more aligned for you!

Then you can check out these Pinterest boards with information I’ve gathered about each of these elements. (There are more elements than this, but these are what I’ve gathered resources about to this point.)

I hope this has been a fun and helpful introduction (or deepening) into the world of Human Design!

I’d love to hear from you if you’ve had any insights—or have resources to add! You can reach out here.

Once I saw the beauty and deep, loving permission of Human Design, I couldn’t un-see it—know what I mean? So if you’ve been interested in working with me, whether through a Human Design chat or other offering, know that this will be a part of the work we do together. <3
