I am wired to dig in, discuss things deeply, shine a light on thoughts and ideas, and illuminate the connections and patterns I see there.
It’s just what I do. I have to be very intentional about the information I take in because I just automatically start piecing it all together, and it can be pretty tiring (I’m looking at you, social media).
But I love doing it intentionally, and I’m so grateful I’ve reached the place where I can see this as my gift and offer it to you!
You know what, though? I have a hard time using this gift on my own ideas. I have friends I brainstorm with and people I hire to support me in seeing and using my own ideas.
We all need each other. I just don’t think we’re meant to do business alone.

I’m originally from Virginia, but these days I live in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dreaming of traveling and listening to Jason and Caroline Zook as they live abroad for a year
Looking for roller skates and thinking I might like to take figure skating lessons one day
Listening to, watching, and reading things that spark curiosity, like the Overheard at National Geographic podcast and lots of things about mountain climbing
Easing my way into dating (eep!)
Thinking about (will eventually move into the doing stage) learning how to knit socks and a sweater!
Watching Bluey, a very sweet children’s show, on Disney+ (when my nervous system needs a break, this soothes me immediately)
I also perpetually love:
doing things with my hands (like knitting, cross-stitching, and ceramics)
reading fiction, especially middle-grade novels (I’m a fast reader and have always loved to settle in with a good book)
going deep with my friends (it’s so fun and supportive!)
tea over coffee (though I do love the occasional decaf cappuccino)
animals, art history, and so many other things!
